Overview:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development; healthy living and social responsibility. Under the direction of the Member Experience Director, and in accordance with the policies of the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region, the Lead Membership Service Consultant will be responsible for membership sales growth, and member engagement and retention through superior member service and active internal marketing for the branch. The Lead Membership Service Consultant provides and is responsible for membership and program registration and general branch information.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that daily care of members and prospective members is first
  • Collaborate with Center and Program staff to ensure consistent excellence jn service through daily care of members, program participants and volunteers.
  • Develop, meet and exceed monthly and annual membership sales and retention
  • Provide direction, leadership, support, and timely feedback to Membership team through strategic planning, process evaluation and improvement, and performance management.
  • Coach, train and ensure staff delivers consistent excellence in sales presentations, closing techniques, impeccable telephone and in-person service, and member engagement.
  • Manage prospects through leads, tours, walk-ups, no joins, phone inquiries, referrals, corporate wellness partners, guest passes, terminations, and prospects
  • Assist in the development of and adhere to systems that ensure consistent prospect and new member tracking and follow-up
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events and services such as health fairs, open houses, media events, membership drives and the annual Community Support campaign.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • 2 years customer service experience
  • 2 years Sales and Marketing experience preferably in a membership setting
  • Wellness/Fitness background preferred
  • Must work well independently and as part of a team
  • The proven ability to establish and maintain favorable relationships required
  • Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration
