The Lead Member of Technical Staff - Network Infrastructure Engineer will perform design and validation of network architectures for AT&T Switched Ethernet, Cell-site backhaul, and Fiber broadband service. The Network Infrastructure Engineer will evaluate packet network platform technology, recommend long term platform evolution, write detailed plans describing functionality and interworking needed, and work with suppliers to ensure products meet AT&T’s future network needs.
The position will also track important developments and new technologies among networking platforms and sub-system suppliers, with specific focus on Open disaggregate network equipment, as well as develop and author network design requirements, configurations and engineering rules documents.
In addition, the Network Infrastructure Engineer will collaborate with a cross-organizational team and suppliers to define and develop feature requirements for AT&T’s next-generation flexible, SDN-controlled packet networks and work with network operation partners to support their current and future needs.
