Description Position Summary The Lead Mold Detail / PI Technician is a working lead responsible for supporting daily department operations while driving safety, quality, and on-time delivery. This role sets the example for performance and professionalism and ensures parts move through the department according to schedule. What You’ll Do Lead daily morning huddles to review safety, production priorities, and schedule status. Maintain visibility of the production schedule and track where all parts are within the department. Drive completion of parts according to required timelines. Maintain and report department metrics (Smartsheet and communication boards). Perform mold detail and PI technician work to established quality standards. Inspect parts prior to transfer to ensure completeness and quality. Coach and support technicians to achieve training marks and skill progression. Reinforce safety standards and ensure OSHA compliance. Communicate production risks, delays, and improvement opportunities to management. Maintain a clean, organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements What You Bring 3–5 years manufacturing experience. 1+ years leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead by example. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of mold detail / PI processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience tracking metrics preferred. Regular and reliable attendance. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Exposure to dust, fiberglass, and moderate noise. PPE required in designated areas. Safety-sensitive position — must remain fit for duty.
