Description

Performs MRI studies following set protocol established by the Radiologists. Operates the MRI scanner to produce images of consistent optimal quality. Prepares scan room and equipment as appropriate. Positions patient, coils and equipment as required. Assists in coordinating the scheduling of examinations with the referring physician and the Radiologist. Responsible for assisting the supervisor and physicians in orientation and training of new technologists and students. Directs the work of technologists in the absence of supervisory personnel or as instructed by supervisor. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Non Degree Program approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program Required Experience 4 years experience as an MRI Technologist Required General Experience in supervising others Preferred Licenses Reg Technologist (R) Required Basic Life Support Preferred Reg Technologist (R) (MR) Preferred

Responsibilities

The Lead MRI Technologist performs MRI studies according to established protocols and operates the MRI scanner to produce high-quality images. They also assist in coordinating examination schedules and train new technologists and students.
