Key Responsibilities Include: Clinical Leadership & Supervision Guide and mentor CNAs, Medication Aides, and Staff Nurses Act as charge nurse during your shift, including in the absence of the Nursing Coordinator Support onboarding and training of new clinical team members Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and Sunnyside policies Direct Resident Care Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing protocols Respond to health changes with assessments, documentation, and follow-ups Coordinate lab draws, appointments, discharges, and transitions of care Quality Assurance & Compliance Audit records for accuracy and completeness Oversee infection control practices and PPE use Participate in audits, surveys, fall tracking, and quality improvement efforts Communication & Collaboration Act as liaison between families, residents, providers, and care teams Lead shift change reports and ensure continuity of care Support a collaborative and professional work environment Perks & Benefits You'll Love! Requirements Current VA LPN or RN license (RN preferred) 2+ years of experience in assisted living, long-term care, or related setting Proven leadership and supervisory abilities CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Proficiency with EMRs and strong documentation habits Excellent decision-making, communication, and organizational skills A commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and resident-centered care Physical and Environmental Considerations: This job operates in a residential-style nursing environment with normal lighting levels (except where lighting is reduced in resident rooms), comfortable temperature ranges, good air quality, ventilation, and low noise levels. The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time.
