This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the Senior Leadership team in Women Children and Families Division - CAMHS, to provide expert clinical advice, professional nurse leadership, accountability and governance for the mental health and learning disability nursing profession within the CAMHS Service.
This key professional leadership role will involve working in collaboration with all key stakeholders and as part of the Mental Health, Neurodevelopmental & Intellectual Disability Outpatient Service, with a clear focus on the mental health nursing contribution to the maintenance of clinical excellence.
CAMHS Outpatient Services are spread across two sites and deliver a range of services to children and young people up to the age of 18. The range of services includes mental health, Eating Disorders, Neurodevelopmental, Intellectual Disabilities, CAMHS response team and Tier 4 community care (Macx Service). All services are delivered through a multi disciplinary team that includes Psychology, Allied Health and Medical Professionals.
The Lead Nurse will ensure that nursing care is delivered in line with person centred and trauma informed standards and that there is opportunity for ongoing learning and development. The Lead Nurse will ensure that nursing care is safe, effective and maximises the involvement of patients, carers and families.
The Post Holder will be a key member of the CAMHS Clinical Care triumvirate and will lead on Nursing Care Governance, Standards of Practice and Professional Governance for all Registered and Un Registered Nurses within the CAMHS Service.
We are looking for an adaptable individual who will enjoy working in an evolving service. The post holder must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse / Registered Learning Disability Nurse, with post registration experience gained in a variety of nursing environments to a level of seniority commensurate with this post.
Additionally, professional knowledge acquired through degree level education and supplemented by specialist training or experience and education to Masters Level with a formal qualification (or evidence of experiential learning commensurate with Masters level study) is required.
Hours of work are: 37 predominantly Monday to Friday – 9-5pm.
