Active Neuro the soon to be launched, specialist division of Active Care Groupis at the forefront of redefining neurorehabilitation in the UK and we’re currently seeking a Lead Occupational Therapist (Band 7 equivalent) to join our team at Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre
This is a senior clinical role offering the opportunity to shape the direction and delivery of occupational therapy within a specialist neurorehabilitation service, supporting individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injury and other complex neurological conditions.
You’ll lead a dedicated Occupational Therapy team, influence interdisciplinary working across the service, and help embed cutting-edge rehabilitation technology as part of our 24/7 therapy model.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As our Lead Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership to the Occupational Therapy team.
  • Deliver expert, evidence-based assessment and intervention for individuals with complex neurological needs.
  • Take a key role in shaping service development, clinical pathways, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support the professional development of the OT team through supervision, training, and mentorship.
  • Work collaboratively within the MDT to ensure a consistent, person-centred, and outcome-driven rehabilitation journey.
  • Champion the use of advanced rehabilitation technologies as part of our 24-hour therapy model.
  • Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights.

For this role, you’ll need:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Significant post-registration experience in neurorehabilitation or complex care (including ABI/TBI)
  • Demonstrable leadership ability and experience of managing or supervising therapy teams
  • Advanced clinical reasoning and confident decision-making in complex neurorehabilitation cases
  • A passion for service development, innovation, and delivering measurable patient outcome
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DB
