Job Summary: Assists Manager with financial and medical records maintenance, staff scheduling, vehicle maintenance and pharmaceutical supply management. Contributes to development and maintenance of quality improvement programs and training programs for new ambulance employees. Provides support with training and development of current ambulance staff. Provides first-aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured patients according to acceptable medical practice standards. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: * High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required * Three years’ related experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: * Paramedic license in state of practice: Required * Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS OR HS-ACLS OR RQIACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required * Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS OR HS-PALS OR RQIPALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required * Valid Driver’s License (DL) and must be at least 21 yrs of age or older: Required * California Ambulance Driver Certificate and DMV Medical Examination Certificate: Required in CA Facility Specific License/Certifications: * Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required * ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required * AHA-PALS: Required * Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required * Certified Ambulance Driver (CAD): Required * California DMV Medical Examiner (DMVME): Required Essential Functions: * Performs all principal job duties of Paramedic. * Assists with coordination Ambulance Department staff including scheduling personnel, billing and collaboration with other hospital departments. * Oversees new employee onboarding and training. Helps monitor and develop policies and procedures for EMT and Paramedic Services. * Assists with integrity and maintenance of unit equipment, including supervising monthly equipment, supplies and medicine checkouts and outdates. * Provides assistance with vehicle licensing, inspections and maintenance. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Responsibilities
