Location:  Multiple Western Health sites Employment Type: Full-Time, Ongoing Salary: Grade 4 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging   About the role: Western Health is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Lead Pharmacist - Automated Medication Management to provide strategic leadership for the planning, implementation, optimisation and governance of automated medication management systems across the organisation.   This newly established role is critical in driving change management, innovation, and long-term sustainability for automated medication management solutions to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency, in line with Western Health’s vision of Together, we deliver the healthcare of the future.   This position is permanent, full-time (80 hours per fortnight) and available now!   Key responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and subject matter expertise for all automated medication management initiatives across Western Health. Lead the safe implementation, optimisation and ongoing performance of automated medication management systems, ensuring stability, governance and sustainability. Drive data-informed reporting and analytics to support operations, compliance and performance improvement. Manage and mentor a specialist team, fostering capability development and high-quality service delivery. Build strong partnerships with clinical leaders, digital health teams and external vendors to deliver fit-for-purpose automation solutions.   About you: A minimum of 8 years of hospital pharmacy experience across diverse settings, including advanced expertise in electronic medicines management. Proven leader with strong people management, change management and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Demonstrated experience managing complex systems, large-scale service issues and technology-enabled workflows in healthcare. Highly developed analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
