Schedule: Flexible – Primarily evening (~12p – ~10p) Every 12th weekend Day/Evening availability with every 12-weekend expectation Purpose: Ensure the timely provision of cost-effective drug therapy contributing to optimal patient outcomes, provide experimental education for present and future health care practitioners, and support drug-related research. Responsibilities: Review, maintain, and screen patient medication records and profiles for allergies, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications while entering orders and/or verifying medications. Identify and report suspected adverse drug reactions accurately and in a timely manner. Interpret and evaluate physician orders to prepare, calculate, and dispense appropriate medication dosage forms for inpatient and outpatient treatment in accordance with the Practicing State's Pharmacy Practice Act, Federal Drug Laws, and other regulatory organizations. Prepare and dispense intravenous admixture solutions, as required, using aseptic technique in an accepted sterile product preparation area. Organize daily operational duties and assist in the supervision of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy aides, student interns, and other ancillary personnel involved in providing pharmaceutical care. Fill prescription orders in accordance with State and Federal regulations, utilizing technological resources and equipment. Provide drug information and/or educational programs to healthcare professionals and pharmacy students. Lead operations for centralized and decentralized pharmacy services Delegate responsibilities based on staffing, operations, and other areas in a way to best serve our patients and pharmacy services. B.S. degree or a Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy required. Minimum 5 years post licensure Pharmacist experience required. Prior leadership experience preferred.
