Join our Omnicare, closed-door pharmacy as a Lead Pharmacy Technician in our Back End department and help us deliver best customer support to our long-term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers. Day In The Life: As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will work to lead and support the back-end pharmacy technician team by ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed by the pharmacist team. Our back-end team focuses on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations. Additional tasks and responsibilities include: Leading and assisting Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws The Team and Rewarding Benefits: Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, provides care to those in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communications, and chronic care settings. Required Qualifications What You Bring: Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications Additional Skills/Experience, but not Required: Prior experience in the long-term care industry Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting PTCB National Certification Education Verifiable High School Diploma or GED Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $18.50 - $35.29 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
