Fluor is seeking a creative and innovative Lead Pipeline Engineer to join its team. This role offers strong growth potential and the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate effort hours and materials
  • Develop and maintain scope of work and facilities
  • Create and manage project schedules
  • Support proposal development
  • Provide technical guidance and team supervision
  • Ensure quality and timely deliverables
  • Plan staffing with department manager
  • Collaborate with project and engineering teams
  • Report progress and manage changes
  • Identify and mitigate risks
  • Design cost-effective projects
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and external parties
  • Stamp drawings and deliverables as required

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 12+ years in the pipeline industry, with 5+ years in similar roles
  • B.Sc. in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering
  • P.Eng. designation in Alberta or eligibility with APEGA
  • Familiarity with CSA Z662, ASME B31.4, and ASME B31.3
  • Field or construction experience preferred
  • Experience with various pipeline services including oil, gas, water and slurries
  • Knowledge and experience with pipeline hydraulic and stress design

  • Proven client relationship management
  • Self-starter with leadership and motivational skills
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication and time management
