We are currently looking for a Lead Planner to join our team in Slough covering our Wokingham contract.
The Lead Planner will take responsibility for coordinating, managing, and improving planning functions within the social housing service, ensuring that resources are deployed effectively to meet operational and strategic objectives.
This role will provide leadership to planners/schedulers, drive service excellence, and support the delivery of high-quality housing services to tenants and residents.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Significant experience in workforce planning, scheduling, or resource management (preferably within housing, construction, or repairs & maintenance).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and scheduling of repairs, maintenance, and capital works across the housing stock.
  • Ensure operatives, contractors, and resources are allocated efficiently to meet KPIs, SLAs, and compliance requirements.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex planning or resourcing issues.
  • Supervise and mentor planners/schedulers, providing training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Ensure tenants and residents receive timely communication regarding planned works and appointments.
  • Work closely with housing officers, asset managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to align planning activity with operational priorities.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues related to scheduling or service delivery.
