Job Description Job Summary The Lead, Planning & Research will be responsible for coordinating strategic planning and research activities that drive evidence-based improvements in healthcare delivery across Imo State. This role supports the development and execution of organisational plans, conducts research to inform decision-making, and ensures that planning processes are data-driven and aligned with healthcare priorities. The position plays a key part in advancing the organisation’s mission through rigorous analysis and effective project management. Responsibilities Coordinate the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans in line with organisational objectives. Conduct research and data analysis to support policy formulation, programme evaluation, and service improvement initiatives. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate research findings and planning outcomes to stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of research insights into planning and decision-making processes. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies, recommending adjustments as needed. Qualifications 6-10 years experience in healthcare administration, strategy, or performance management, preferably within a hospital or public health setting. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Public Health, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Balanced Scorecard) is highly desirable. Strong analytical and research skills, with proven experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation. In-depth understanding of healthcare systems and policy frameworks. Proficiency in research methodologies and statistical analysis tools. Familiarity with strategic planning processes and performance measurement in healthcare settings. Must be a resident of Imo State or open to relocation.
