Position Summary: This positions leads and directs the business planning process, business reviews and governance for executive leadership within the Market Solutions Carolinas Region and/or the Midwest and Florida Regions and their organizations. Provides strategic and business planning leadership and consultation to ensure alignment and achievement of plans and objectives to senior leadership and their organization. Facilitates and implements business planning process, including risk assessment, initiative plans, and goal development and alignment. Monitors performance of initiatives and goals to ensure business unit success. Provides consultation, facilitation and oversight of various management systems and governance structures including functional peer teams, and local utility business reviews. Provides direct management support for the SVP of a business unit or support for VPs of multiple business units. Communicates non-financial insights in a timely and effective manner. Responsible for ensuring the effective preparation and delivery of presentations and meeting materials related to operations’ strategic direction and performance, including local utility review meetings, QBRs and operational BPRs. Provides direct development of initiative plans and timelines, monitor execution to plans and reports on status and issues. May include independent management of projects for the business area. Facilitates target setting for operational goals and goal development and alignment (STPP, Business Unit goals, operational performance goals and metrics) Develops functional expertise in the business strategy and planning process. Leads and directs the Business Planning and Mgmt organization for that function. (ex: Risk Assessment, Strategic planning, Analysis, HR Liaison, etc Responsibilities: Guides executive and senior management in the development and execution of strategic and operational plans for the business unit. This includes the facilitation of the annual strategic planning cycle and directing risk assessments Provides direct management support to the SVP of business unit. Provides support and coordination cross functional peer teams and management systems. This includes support of quarterly business reviews, the regional jurisdictional review meetings and the Regulated Utility Planning and Execution forum. Serves as a working project manager of cross-functional business projects. Provides a broad and detailed level of subject matter expertise across multiple functions, systems and jurisdictions. Required/Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree In addition to required degree, seven (7) or more years related work experience Desired Qualifications Masters Degree in Business Administration and ten (10) years of related work experience Demonstrated experience supporting executive-level leadership (SVP/VP) in complex, matrixed organizations Strong understanding of utility operations, customer data domains, and regulated environment planning cycles Proven ability to lead cross-functional governance forums (e.g., QBRs, business reviews, planning councils) and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups Experience translating strategy into executable operational plans, including KPI development, performance tracking, and risk mitigation Background in enterprise data, analytics, or digital product environments, with ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders Demonstrated success managing high-visibility, ambiguous initiatives with competing priorities and tight executive timelines Advanced facilitation skills with the ability to navigate conflict, influence without authority, and drive decision-making Strong storytelling capability—able to synthesize complex information into clear, executive-ready narratives and materials Experience working across multiple jurisdictions, business units, or regions, with awareness of regulatory and operational nuances High degree of organizational awareness, discretion, and executive presence Additional Preferred Qualifications Previous Utility knowledge and experience Experienced in facilitation and/or support role Previous management experience Previous experience in strategic planning Project mgmt. experience Collaboration skills Strong problem solving and analytical skills Organization and planning skills Group presentation skills Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various groups to achieve business objectives in a dynamic environment Strong written and oral communication skills Skilled Mediator Working Conditions Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite.
