Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Hands-on Sr. Platform Engineer that will work on innovative and transformational initiatives at TD Securities -- the implementation of the next generation Trading Risk Warehouse platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of a scalable, resilient and high performing PnL (Profit and Loss) reporting platform that will be used by Risk Analysts, Front Office Traders, and Senior Executives. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies to solve problems of scale and speed. As a lead platform engineer, you will be working on leading platform engineering team to pinpoint the system bottleneck, providing tangible solutions quickly to resolve platform issues, automating platform maintenance tasks as well as demonstrating a strong technical leadership to ensure the quality of deliverables in a timely manner. Responsibilities Build and maintain a high performing platform and ensure the platform meets the need of business, providing stability, reliability, security and scalability. Manage underlying infrastructure, including hardware, software and storage resources. Manage multiple environments (Prod/Pre-Prod/Lower environments) and ensure the integration and stability of environments. Streamline code promotion process and providing ways to improve developer productivity. Ensure the stability of platform and TRW ecosystem. Find ways to optimize platform and address system bottlenecks. Ability to analyze system issues and provide a solution to resolve the issue permanently. Promote the best practices and follow the continuous integration and delivery. Drive transformation by continuously looking for ways to automate existing processes and workflows. Explore new capabilities and technologies to drive innovation. Work closely with development and production operation teams to support their needs, troubleshoot issues and enhance the platform. Desired Skillsets: Proficient in programming skills for automation: Unix shell scripting, python or other programming language Networking and Linux administration SQL DevOps CICD/ tools/GIT/Jenkins Monitoring and logging tools Hadoop Cluster/spark/hive system administration. Manage large scale Web and ETL platform Cloud platform experience is a plus Great communication and problem-solving skills. People management skills. Technical Skills 8+ years in managing and supporting large scale and mission critical platform. Experience in large scale platform migration initiative. Strong experience with managing Hadoop platform including HDFS, Spark and Hive 8+ years' experience in Linux system administration. Experience in managing web and service/API platform. Experience working with messaging technologies (e.g. Kafka) Experience with RDBMS, demonstrable fluency in SQL and any non-relational DB such as Cassandra (is preferred). 6+ years of experience managing Git, CI/CD toolset (Maven), Jenkins, working within an Agile environment Experience in implementing and managing system monitoring tools. Experience developing and managing highly scalable and low latency systems. A passion for bringing best products to the customer, simplifying and automating work, for making things better, for being efficient and helping others. Business Skills Good communication skills. Experience in collaborating efficiently within a global team. Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced environment, working with Engineers, BSA/QA, PMs and our business sponsors. Nice to have - Hands-on experience with market risk and/or PnL (profit and loss) reporting. Responsibilities

The Lead Platform Engineer will design and develop a scalable, resilient PnL reporting platform while managing underlying infrastructure and system environments.
