Description
This isn't a service call role. Our client is a well-established commercial and industrial plumbing contractor serving a multi-state footprint across Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri — handling everything from large-scale mechanical piping and industrial process systems to trenchless sewer relining, municipal infrastructure, and full commercial plumbing. They operate 24/7 for industrial clients who can't afford downtime, and they've built their reputation by putting skilled tradespeople in the field who actually know what they're doing. They're looking for a Lead Plumber who's ready to step up — someone who can run a crew, own a job site, and bring the kind of trade knowledge that earns respect from the first day on-site. What You'll Own Lead day-to-day field operations on commercial and industrial plumbing projects, directing crew members and keeping work on schedule and on spec Read and interpret construction drawings, plumbing plans, and specifications to guide installation and ensure code compliance throughout the project Perform and oversee installation of commercial and industrial plumbing systems including rough-in, mechanical piping, drain/waste/vent, and fixture installation Coordinate material needs and staging with the project team to minimize downtime and keep the crew productive Serve as the on-site point of accountability for quality, safety, and workmanship — setting the standard and holding the crew to it Interface with clients, GCs, and inspectors in a professional and knowledgeable manner Support the Project Manager on larger jobs by managing a portion of the crew or a defined scope of work independently Participate in 24-hour emergency response rotation for industrial clients as needed Journeyman Plumber license (or equivalent experience); Master Plumber license a strong plus 5+ years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience, with at least some time leading or mentoring other plumbers in the field Solid working knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, mechanical piping, and applicable Arkansas plumbing codes Ability to read blueprints and plumbing drawings without assistance A hands-on, field-first work style — you'd rather be on the job than behind a desk Reliable, focused, and fully committed to the role — this team values people who show up and stay Experience with trenchless technology, pipe relining, or industrial/process piping is a meaningful plus Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience. Health, dental, and vision insurance (partial employer contribution) A stable, field-forward team with deep roots in the region and a diverse book of commercial, industrial, and municipal work
Responsibilities
The Lead Plumber will own day-to-day field operations on commercial and industrial projects, directing crews, ensuring work stays on schedule and specification, and interpreting construction drawings for installation guidance. They will also serve as the on-site point of accountability for quality, safety, and workmanship while interfacing professionally with clients and inspectors.
