Position Details Full-Time Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Location: YMCA Child Care at Vivie – Alexandria, MN Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour Why YMCA Our center is a warm, family-focused program with 12 dedicated staff members and four classrooms serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years (2 infant, 1 toddler, 1 preschool). Your Role as Lead Preschool Teacher As our Lead Preschool Teacher, you will work closely with the Child Care Director to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. You will: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth Create and manage a structured daily schedule including learning activities, play, meals, and rest Provide active supervision and ensure a safe, nurturing environment Communicate consistently and positively with families, including daily updates Lead and support assistant teachers and classroom aides Maintain licensing compliance and YMCA standards This role is ideal for someone who is organized, creative, collaborative, and deeply committed to early childhood development.
