OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and physical activities.
  • Experience in behavior management techniques and child welfare practices is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress in various developmental areas, including literacy, math, and social skills.
  • Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among students.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children’s learning and development at home.
  • Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s development.
  • Foster a love for learning through creative activities, including arts, music, physical education, and outdoor play.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the classroom setting.
