A Preschool teacher will perform the following duties in accordance with the policies of TINR, and OCFS licensing regulations, and as requested by the center director/administration:
· Lead a teaching team in providing a nurturing, wonder-led, equitable environment that reflects a pedagogy of care and education.
· Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
· Collaborate with teaching team in planning and executing an Emergent- Reggio Inspired experiences for children.
· Observe, document, and assess children’s progress via anecdotal records, photos, stories, and work samples- to support each child’s unique portfolio.
· Make Learning Visible by sharing the process of learning through the documentation of class experiences, investigations, and projects.
· Bringing a spirit of Joy to each day.
· Maintain frequent communications with families through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teachers conferences. Also, on a daily and weekly basis via ProCare App and Newsletters.
· Ensure all center polices, state, and local regulations are met.
· Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
· Manage child behavior appropriately and report any concerns about the development and behavior of any child immediately to the administration.
· Work cooperatively with all program providers to address the needs of children with IEP’s as a support and guide.
