Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AT A GLANCE

The Lead Product Designer is a full-time, exempt, role that reports to the Director of Product Management in the Technology Development department.
This position is responsible for guiding our product design practice while rolling up their sleeves to deliver exceptional user experiences. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to champion user needs and bring clarity to complex challenges.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both thought leadership and hands-on work—an individual contributor who can also shape the future of design at our company while supporting and mentoring other designers.
This role does not carry any supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements:

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY CONTRIBUTIONS | ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and contribute to design efforts across multiple products and features—from discovery through delivery.
  • Mentor and collaborate with other designers, supporting their growth and development.
  • Define and elevate our design standards, introducing systems, workflows, and tools that support consistent, high-quality design.
  • Bring structure and vision to our design practice, while remaining grounded in user needs and research.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, curriculum, marketing, and customer success to ensure a seamless and impactful user experience.
  • Advocate for the user, bringing research, empathy, and data to product conversations and decisions.
    Additional responsibilities aligned with the needs of the organization.
