Description:

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

As the Design Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process, from conceptualization to implementation and maintenance of fleet reporting systems. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including the design team, data analysts, developers, and stakeholders, to gather requirements to design intuitive user interfaces, and ensure a seamless user experience.
The ideal candidate should have Fleet Management domain experience. This role will support a significant transformation initiative at Hertz.
This role has an impact on our financial performance and customer experience.
This role will cover hands-on product design work, and overall design strategy for a single product, working with other designers to ensure consistent design.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process, including conducting or reviewing user research, creating wireframes, and developing interactive prototypes for reporting systems.
  • Lead a team of designers on the project, managing and monitoring work to ensure deadlines are met and work is high quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional design specifications.
  • Collaborate with the design manager to establish design strategies, backed by research findings and business requirements.
  • Ensure a consistent and visually appealing design language across all reporting systems. (Design System)
  • Conduct/manage usability testing and gather user feedback to iterate and improve the design of reporting interfaces.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior & mid-level designers within the team.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure the successful implementation of designs and resolve any design-related issues during development/post development.Mentor and guide team members, helping them develop and grow.
