What you’ll be doing
- Leading Design. As a design lead, your primary responsibility is to provide strong leadership to a team of designers, guiding them in the creation of digital products and websites that align with user needs and drive our clients’ businesses forward with a future-focused approach.
- Mentorship and Career Development. You’ll play a crucial role in nurturing the professional growth of designers within your team, offering mentorship and support to help them advance in their careers.
- Discovery and Research. Lead the exploration of user needs and market insights, translating findings into actionable design strategies and data-backed decisions for user-centric products.
- UX and Prototyping. You will champion innovation and guide the continuous creation, testing, and refinement of UX prototypes to deliver design solutions that adapt to the evolving needs of our clients and their customers.
- Brand Integration. Your creative acumen will be put to use as you skilfully infuse our clients’ brands into innovative UI designs, setting them apart from competitors.
- Client Engagement and Workshops. You’ll have the ability to plan and conduct engaging workshops that educate and inspire our clients about the importance of future-ready design.
- Pitching and New Business. Excel in pitching our design expertise to prospective clients, showcasing our capabilities and vision to secure new business opportunities and foster lasting client relationships.
- Design Systems Mastery. Showcase your expertise by meticulously crafting comprehensive design systems that document our design rationale and adhere to our values of sustainability and purpose.
- Effective Communication. Your confident presentation skills will be pivotal in engaging clients and fellow members of the Tangent team, effectively conveying how our designs align with user and business needs.

What we are looking for
We’re on the lookout for a Lead Digital Product Designer with over 5+ years of experience to join the dynamic Tangent design team. Whether you’ve honed your craft in-house or at an agency, what truly matters to us is your ability to lead teams in crafting outstanding digital products and websites for recognisable brands that have reached a large audience.
