Technical expert responsible for major engineering test and development programs where a great deal of creativity and perception are involved as well as a high level of independent judgment. Plans and executes significant technical projects requiring creative engineering or scientific contributions. Not a supervisor, however, provides technical direction to Product Engineers. Total subordinates: none. Role typically requires over 12 years of experience. Appointment to this position may require committee approval and evidence of technical accomplishments.
