  • Enterprise SaaS Fundamentals: Deep experience in product-led growth, customer adoption, and go-to-market alignment.
  • Design & User Experience: No dedicated designer—this role requires hands-on design work. Needs a strong design sense and ability to prototype quickly using AI tools. Can bring in consultants for complex projects but owns design thinking internally. As the need grows, a full-time designer will be hired.
  • Decision Support, IoT, & Industrial Tech: Experience with decision support analytics, IoT sensors, and gateway devices. Familiarity with data-heavy industrial applications. Strong plus if experienced in water treatment, chemical engineering, or process optimization.
  • Technical Adaptability: Doesn’t need an engineering background but must be comfortable learning technical concepts quickly and applying them effectively.
  • Customer Insights & Rapid Iteration: Works collaboratively with CS and sales to gather customer insights and refine the product strategy. Leads cohort testing, phased releases, and playbook development to improve product adoption and customer success.
  • Execution Speed & Decision-Making: Knows when to ship fast vs. refine further. Strong sense of prioritization and trade-offs. Pushes forward without perfect data but knows when deeper validation is required.
  • Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Works closely with dev teams to break down product work into small, de-risked steps. Agile mindset—focuses on delivering measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Works with sales and customer success to analyze gaps in the market and competitor positioning. Translates market research into product positioning, pricing strategy, and sales enablement materials. • Outcome-Driven & Metrics-Focused: Focuses on measurable business outcomes, ensuring that shipped features drive adoption, revenue, and retention. Uses data and analytics to validate decisions, optimize product funnels, and track impact.
  • Cross-Functional Influence & Leadership: Works closely with CS and Sales to develop structured ways and playbooks to improve user adoption, define customer journeys, and create feedback loops. Ensures alignment across engineering, sales, and customer success with clear priorities and communication. Engages directly with customers at all levels, from frontline users to senior executives.
  • Approach & Tools: Familiar with Marty Cagan’s principles on de-risking for value, feasibility, usability, and viability, or similar methods.
