Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a high-impact role at the heart of our fintech journey. Your work will define how millions of users send money seamlessly and securely across borders. We are hiring a strategic product leader to own and scale Careem Pay’s remittance product. This is a high-growth business that plays a critical role in enabling seamless financial access across the region.
Since its inception the Send Money product has achieved market fit and accelerated the growth to become the fastest growing product at Careem Pay. You will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for cross-border money movement. Your work will directly shape how users across the region send and receive money with speed, security, and confidence. This role will focus on building and improving our Send Money rails in the UAE for various receiving countries. You will work closely with the partnership team to understand local payment schemes and work with engineering to build direct integrations with them. You will drive the performance of our money movement infrastructure across markets. Your focus will be on improving transaction speed, reducing costs, increasing reliability, and enhancing the customer experience..

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own the efficiency and resilience of money movement rails in the UAE
  • Identify and deliver opportunities to improve money movement. Your work will reduce delays, eliminate pain points, and drive more affordable and seamless customer send money.
  • Own the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the send money product in the region, including cross currency and same currency payments
  • Build and lead a roadmap focused on improving send money speed, reliability, and satisfaction. Every release should bring measurable improvement to the customer experience.
  • Collaborate with banks, regulators, and internal teams to integrate directly with local payment schemes. This will allow faster and more secure money movement across key corridors
  • Take full ownership of your product area across the entire lifecycle, from discovery to delivery and continuous improvement
  • Work alongside multiple stakeholders across the business
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership, sharing progress, challenges, and product direction.
  • Own the product roadmap and delivery from start to finish. Set a high bar for customer experience and drive ongoing improvements.
  • Launch new remittance corridors with fast, reliable delivery
  • Reduce average send money costs across key corridors
  • Achieve over 95% transaction success rate
  • Increase customer satisfaction with a frictionless money send money experience

    What you’ll need

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years of Fintech experience managing a complex product.

  • Specify remittance domain experience as highly preferred, not just a plus.
  • Call out regulatory knowledge or compliance exposure if relevant.
  • Highlight experience with payment infrastructure, if applicable.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, startup environment, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and product optimization.
  • Experience in building a Send Money product is a plus.
