Altair is seeking a Lead Product Specialist for Computational AeroAcoustics (CAA) to join Altair’s dynamic and agile ultraFluidX CAA team.
ultraFluidX is Altair’s high-fidelity CFD solution for transient external aerodynamics and aeroacoustics. Our GPU-based lattice Boltzmann solver delivers exceptional performance, enabling ultra-fast predictions of aerodynamic properties of passenger and heavy-duty vehicles, as well as for aero-acoustics and building/environmental aerodynamics.

He/she will collaborate closely with technical specialists, as well as ultraFluidX development and solutions teams, to enhance CAA capabilities and push simulation methodologies to new levels of maturity. Additionally, this position involves working with both internal and external customers to support projects and automate the overall CAA simulation process.

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for preparing CAA simulation models, submitting and monitoring HPC-GPU computations, and performing advanced post-processing of results related to greenhouse noise, fan noise, and HVAC noise.
  • Work closely with our product management teams to address customer feedback and requests

    • Engage in technical discussions with our customers to understand their CAA requirements and needs

    • Participate in the development and validation of CAA best-practice recommendations
    • Contribute to scripted pre- and post-processing automation as part of the CAA workflow
    • Actively participate in agile meetings, including daily stand ups, biweekly reviews and retrospectives
