About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project and People Leader covering Technology or Operational Projects to join our team. Reporting to the Manager Delivery Coal Technology, the purpose of this role is lead 6-12 direct reports focussed on supporting delivery of Capital Projects through direct embedment or Technology Component Work Packages (TCWP). To ensure Projects are developed, executed in line with BHP Technology and Cyber security Industry standards. This role is accountable for providing the conduit between BHP Technology and Project Delivery Groups (PDG) at BMA and NSWEC.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills across covering varying Internal and external functions, teams or partners to ensure Capital Projects are provided with compliant Technological solutions covering CCTV, Process Control, Cyber, Information and Operational Technology, Networking and Hosting,
  • Establish and maintain mutually beneficial stakeholder relationships covering Engineering, Governance, and Projects. Through routine engagement and service awareness,
  • Support and lead teams to understand and correct problems at the root cause, with clear and considered actions,
  • Forecast and track labour, Deliverables against Projects requirements and time frames with escalation to functional teams as required.
  • Forecast and track functional team labour requirements to support Project requirement and time frames.
  • Leverage your experience and history in Project Delivery through adoption of BHP or industry project frameworks (BHP Small and Medium Project framework, PMBOK, Prince 2, Agile),
  • Identify opportunities to optimise value, manages associated risks and applies Optimised With/Optimised Without framework principles to create and preserve maximum value from projects across BHP
