As a Lead Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of AC and DC generator testing activities and the delivery of high-quality products. You will lead and coordinate a team of engineers to facilitate testing for product development.
You will report directly to the Engineering Test Services (ETS) manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on an on-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the quality and reliability of our products through effective test engineering practices. You will work with cross-functional teams to review and define test requirements and specifications, develop and execute test plans and procedures, and analyze test results to provide valuable insights and recommendations for product improvements. Your technical guidance and facilitation will empower the test engineers in your team to excel in their roles and deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide the effort of testing development electric generators, creating of cost estimates, integrated schedules, and milestones for test campaigns.
  • Provide direction and oversight for the test team, serving as the owner of program execution and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Guide the prioritization of work packages, design goals, and component/system integrations, taking ownership of the overall execution of the programs.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of documentation and deliverables, ensuring their alignment with program objectives.
  • Use enterprise-based business tools to achieve project planning and cost objectives, taking ownership of the financial aspects of the programs.
  • Meet design objectives and requirements for development hardware and software across multiple COEs, taking ownership of the technical aspects of test programs.
  • Guide a small team of test engineers and technicians, potentially covering multiple locations, taking ownership of the team’s performance and success.
  • Mentor others in the application of project scheduling, budgeting, and earned value ethics and tools, sharing your expertise and taking ownership of their development.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and efficiency
