Description

As Lead Electrical Project Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the technical delivery of projects from initial enquiry and tender stage through to construction, commissioning, and energisation based out of Aberdeenshire.
The focus will be on high-voltage electrical aspects within large M&E projects, but you’ll also gain exposure to wider transmission and distribution works, including installations up to 400kV.
This is a permanent position with a strong pipeline of projects over the next 5+ years and an opportunity to progress your career by delivering leading-edge engineering projects within the power and renewables sector. You’ll be joining a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team where projects are delivered on time, safely, to budget, and to the highest quality standards.

LEAD PROJECT ENGINEER SKILLS:

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years’ design/project management experience in industrial installation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HV and MV networks, including resilience requirements and system studies.
  • Experience in energy management systems and integration with automated control systems.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, to budget, and to specification.
  • Strong IT and project scheduling skills (MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
  • Flexible, delivery-focused, with strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Committed to health, safety, and quality standards.
