- Lead groups of XGTG engineers and technical artists in abstracting our tools and workflows so they can be adopted by other Xbox Studios. - Own and help drive the internal project we use to showcase the technology we share across Xbox. - Get hands on with our technologies, which span infrastructure written in C# and hosted in the cloud, through to runtime extensions to the Unreal Engine. - Build core systems and plugins within Unreal Engine, enabling artists, designers, and engineers to be more effective. - Collaborate closely with content, engineering, and production teams to identify pain points and create cross-team solutions. - Engage with other studios across Xbox and help identify and provide fixes for performance, memory and developer efficiency issues they might be facing. - Manage up to 5 engineers and mentor fellow developers and promote best practices across the studio. - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. - 5+ years experience building and supporting game tools, systems and workflows. - 3+ years managing people. - Highly proficient in C++, C# and object-oriented design programming. - High Quality problem solving abilities. - Experience working and shipping on multiple modern hardware platforms. - Effective communication skills; ability to work closely with other high-caliber engineers and artists. - Comfortably works with all disciplines found within a games studio. - Experience building game engine tools and tool chains. thecoalitionjobs #gamingjobs
