GENERAL SUMMARY

The BIM Engineer is responsible for developing and managing Building Information Models (BIM) to support efficient design, construction, and facility management processes. This role works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure model accuracy and integrates digital technologies to enhance project outcomes.
This position reports to and takes direction from the BIM Manager and/or Department Leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
· 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
· Proven track record of managing large, cross-functional projects successfully.
· Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Asana.
· Familiarity with budgeting software and financial tracking tools.
· Understanding of risk management and quality assurance principles.
· Exceptional leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
· Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.
· Experience in industries such as construction, engineering, or technology.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with project management software.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and interact professionally with staff at all levels.
· Ability to consistently demonstrate empathy and soft communication to team members and stakeholders, both through written and verbal communications.
· Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
· Strong customer service orientation with a focus on meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

· Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple projects, from initiation to closeout.
· Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals.
· Provide guidance to project team members, including Digital Project Managers and coordinators.
· Conduct regular performance reviews and provide mentorship to build team capabilities.
· Serve as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and leadership to ensure clear communication and alignment.
· Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and issue resolution discussions.
· Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid project delays or cost overruns.
· Address issues proactively, escalating to leadership when necessary.
· Monitor project performance against KPIs, including budget, timeline, and quality metrics.
· Prepare and present progress reports to leadership and stakeholders.
· Evaluate project management processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· Leverage project management tools and methodologies to optimize workflows.
· Generate reports on project progress and maintain thorough documentation.
· Upon request, provides support and performs tasks related to other entities owned and/or affiliated with Butch Allen and/or “Allen Enterprises”, including, but not limited to, Allen & Company, Allen Underground, TransformXD, Nexus3D, Nexus Geospatial, and Parkforms.
