Job Title: Lead Project Manager x 3 – Innovation Team
Location: Glasgow or Merseyside
Salary from £60,800 to £76,000

We are currently looking for 3 x Lead Project Managers to be at the forefront of innovation! You will be paving the way to NetZero by leading SPEN’s Innovation Team, within the Process and Technology organisation, to create and implement an innovation strategy that develops and delivers engineering solutions for transmission and distribution networks for the ever-evolving energy landscape.
You will have demonstrated ability to work with complex stakeholder groups, understand the regulatory landscape in which SPEN operate and have the ability to operate at a strategic level – with a thorough understanding of the challenges facing the energy industry.

What you’ll be doing

  • Possess a degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience and a proven track record (preferably electrical, data or IT biased).Experience as Project lead or Work Package lead in large complex projects.
  • In-depth understanding of regulated network business (electricity distribution and/or transmission networks preferred) and its engineering foundations.
  • A good project management skill set and experience with the ability to use core project management software,
  • Ability to understand, appraise and develop innovation cost benefit analysis, following in house training/guidance.
  • Exhibit advanced negotiation and influencing capabilities to establish effective relationships across all levels.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational and project management skills across cross-functional workstreams.
  • Uphold professional conduct within a regulated environment, showcasing strong teamwork and team-building capabilities.
  • Show a proven ability to liaise with industry bodies and stakeholders.
  • Strong presentational and verbal communication skills.
  • Adapt seamlessly to rapidly changing environments and competing priorities.
  • Display excellent presentational and verbal communication skills.
  • Prioritise workloads effectively to meet agreed timelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and duty in supporting national critical infrastructure.
