Description
We're looking for a Lead Project Scheduler for Capital Projects who is responsible for applying technical expertise to develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules while supporting effective project performance monitoring. This role serves as a key liaison between project management, client representatives, engineering, construction, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful planning and execution of schedules.    What You’ll Do: * Build, manage, and maintain project schedules, including 3–4 week lookaheads. * Analyze schedules (critical path, risks, variances) and recommend corrective actions. * Track progress against baselines and produce clear, actionable schedule reports. * Partner with project management, engineering, construction, sales, and field teams. * Coordinate field staffing and resources to support efficient execution. * Ensure projects are fully prepared before mobilization (scope, drawings, POs, logistics). * Support smooth handoff from sales to operations and lead job kickoff summaries. * Track job status from award through closeout, including delays, changes, and documentation. * Maintain schedule documentation and support month‑end and phase‑gate reviews. * Identify conflicts, constraints, and risks early and help solve them. * Drive continuous improvement in scheduling and on‑time delivery. The Experience We’re Looking For: * 5–10+ years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, or construction/project execution environments, preferably within electric utility or capital infrastructure projects.  * Familiarity with cost controls and integration of schedules with time-phased cost forecasting.  * Proficiency in scheduling software such as Aimsio, ZOHO, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools. * Experience supporting engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects or similar large-scale capital programs. * Experience in electric utility, transmission & distribution, substation, or renewable energy projects.   Additional Requirements: * Valid and current driver’s license. * Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests. * Willing and able to travel up to 30% across the continental USA . Bonus Points for: * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. * Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), or similar.
