Job Description Role Overview We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer to drive quality strategy, automation direction, and release readiness across business-critical .NET platforms, including .NET 8 migration programs. This role combines hands-on automation expertise with technical leadership in a payments and merchant services domain. This role is a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) that includes Designing and writing automated tests, building test frameworks and tools, embedding testing into CI/CD pipelines, debugging failures and testing at multiple levels. Key Responsibilities Own QA strategy and test approach for business-critical applications, functional and non-functional. Lead end-to-end testing across Web, API, integration, and messaging layers Provide technical leadership for Selenium with C# automation frameworks Define and govern automation standards and coverage, implement test cases strategy as per the test pyramid Drive test execution via Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines Oversee API and messaging validation (REST / gRPC / WCF, RabbitMQ) Guide performance testing using JMeter Drive data validation and reporting quality (SQL, SSRS) Oversee security and access validation (Okta, Azure AD, Snyk) Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and production issue investigations (Splunk) Support/Lead in regression analysis and sign-off Lead nightly analysis and facilitate defects resolution with multiple teams in scaled environment. Own release quality metrics, risk assessment, and sign-off Support testing/validations during/before deployment (stage validation) Mentor QA engineers and collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams Qualifications Required Skills 8–10+ years of QA experience Proven QA Lead / Quality Owner experience Strong manual + automation background, SDET Experience in design/development/maintenance of test frameworks Deep hands-on experience with Selenium with C# automation and POM design pattern Strong Web, API, integration, and performance testing expertise (manual + automation) Excellent SQL and data validation skills Proficient in Behavior Driven Development Framework like Specflow / Reqnroll Experience with Git/GitHub commands and version control Experience with Agile and the concept of shift-left testing in scaled environment.
