Role profile: An opportunity exists within LSEG for a Lead QA Engineer role within Content & Feeds Technology! ROLE SUMMARY: Join a highly collaborative, multi-functional, software QA team responsible for functional testing, performance testing and data validation across a variety of technologies. This role will work as part of a scrum team and may own the integration testing across multiple scrum teams. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Leads all aspects of technical implementation of quality control, testing and analysis, providing guidance where issues arise Set project testing strategy/test plan: test environment, automation, performance, test data management, testing tools etc. Reviews and approves test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and technology strategy Lead functional/non-functional testing and end to end integration. Set clear automation goal and drive automation implementation Collaborate with Solution Architect, BA for the Non-functional requirements and set the performance testing plan Follow best practices, QA methodologies and processes, working across critical stages of the product lifecycle from define to build Understand the business use cases and carry out testing to ensure top quality of delivered solutions Understand and analyse the Requirement Specifications and design test scenarios Review and analyse completeness of test coverage Carry out Functional testing and Non-functional testing Solve technical issues and challenges in testing work Implement Test Scripts, Defect tracking in applicable tool, Status Reporting, Defect Reporting Drive continuous improvement from quality perspective Responsible for communicating the status of ongoing work to stakeholders accurately Provide mentoring to junior staff (Associate Engineer, Engineer and Senior Engineer) as needed WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 10+ years‘ experience in Software QA or Development Engineer role Proven ability to drive and implement test strategies/test plan, including automation, performance, E2E integration, test environment. In-depth knowledge of Software QA methodologies and experience of agile testing Strong background with test automation Excellent coding skills in Python or Java Skilled in SQL query with RDBMS, e.g, Oracle, SQL Server Proven record to set the quality measurement model and drive continuous quality improvement Excellent coaching skills Good communication and influence skills Excellent problem-solving skills Good understanding of SDLC, CICD and Git (source code repository) Experience with Jira, Confluence and TestRail Cloud testing experience (Azure, AWS, etc) and relevant certificates are preferred Knowledge of financial services is a plus WHAT YOU'LL GET IN RETURN: Opportunity to work in a global team Strengthen the capability to set the test strategy for a product in financial industry Learn the advanced technique: Github Co-Pilot, Cloud, CI/CD, Automation testing, data-driven testing, etc. Work under diversity and inclusive culture Join us and be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
