Position: Lead Quality Assurance Engineer Experience Level: Senior, 6+ years Location: Remote, Florida or Georgia About Eolas Eolas is a unified risk management platform built for the real estate industry. We bring together real-time risk data, on-site workflows, and security monitoring so property operators can move from reactive to resilient. Our platform includes Assess (risk and incident management) and Protect (intelligent monitoring and oversight). We're a lean, experienced team, headquartered in Orlando with hiring focused in Florida and Georgia. About the Role The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer will build out dedicated quality ownership for our products, our AWS-hosted, AI/ML-driven risk platform delivered through app.eolas.co and our companion mobile app. This is an automation-first role. We lean on Playwright to keep coverage scalable, and use manual and exploratory testing deliberately, for what automation doesn't reach yet. What You'll Do Quality Strategy & Ownership * Build and own the QA strategy across web and mobile, replacing ad hoc coverage with a consistent, repeatable process. * Define test plans, coverage standards, and quality gates for every release. * Partner with engineering and product leads to shape acceptance criteria before work starts, not after. Test Automation & Execution * Design and maintain automated test suites for regression, integration, and API coverage. * Run manual and exploratory testing on complex risk workflows and AI/ML-driven features. * Own bug triage, tracking, and reporting through to resolution. Cross-Functional Collaboration * Work closely with frontend, backend, and product teams to catch issues early in the cycle. * Validate integrations with client property management systems. * Support release readiness reviews and go/no-go calls. Process & Tooling * Select and maintain QA tooling, and wire automated testing into CI/CD. * Define and track quality metrics, including defect escape rate and test coverage. * Mentor other team members on QA best practices as the function and team grow. What We're Looking For * 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including experience owning QA for a SaaS product end to end. * Experience testing across both web and mobile applications. * Proven track record scaling automated test coverage (we use Playwright) - you default to automating, and reach for manual testing when it's the right call, not the first call. * Experience with API testing and tools like Postman. * Familiarity with AWS-hosted applications and CI/CD pipelines. * Comfort testing AI/ML-driven features and the data pipelines behind them. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for cross-functional teams. * A strong problem-solving mindset and a bias toward action in a fast-paced, agile environment.
