Description
Experienced subject matter expert responsible for the development and maintenance of quality systems and processes supporting mass production activities. Providing technical guidance and support for Quality function in the High Performance Work Team. Ensuring alignment and integration of all customer, industry, and internal requirements linked to production within the Jackson, MI plant. Leveraging best practices, lead projects for improvement of production processes. Coach, mentor, and collaborate with others pertaining to Jackson, MI Quality Systems, product requirements, and inspection methods. Support HPWT fast response calls Analyze causes (pareto) for fast response calls to identify improvement initiatives Facilitate and execute problem solving projects with cross functional teams Maintain core tools, as needed, for production processes (pFMEA, Control Plan, MSA/Gauge R&R, SPC, and PROLaunch) Lead or provide oversight for all customer, 3rd party, or internal audits Ownership for quality metrics and associated continuous improvement projects or activities Ownership for change management integration tied to production (i.e. MCO) Oversight of escape management activity (Point Brief, PIC, RCCA, etc.) Awareness and understanding of compliance to customer requirements including contractual obligations, procedures, and product conformance (i.e. customer configuration control) Site RCCA communication and lessons learned sharing Complete tasks with minimal supervision Bachelor degree from accredited institution Minimum 8 years of quality engineering or manufacturing/operations experience This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Jackson, MI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field Knowledge of quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100) and performing quality audits Detailed understanding and application of product design engineering standards and processes. Detailed understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience with UAW contract and following proper protocol Knowledge of core tools including but not limited to APQP, PPAP, pFMEA/Control Plan, MSA/Gauge R&R, SPC
