Job Summary: Supervises the department's patient flow, performs general medical procedures and assists physicians. Dispenses durable goods and provides after-care instructions in accordance with established protocols and procedures. Supervises x-ray technicians with limited licenses. Assists department director with day-to-day management and supervision. Acts as an expert clinician who demonstrates a high level of knowledge/expertise, and is a leader/resource to the healthcare team. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: * Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Required * Five years' technical experience: Preferred * Two years' leadership experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: * American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R): Required * Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA and HI * Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required * Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA within 6 months of hire Facility Specific License/Certifications: * Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): Required Essential Functions: * Performs radiographic procedures in accordance with established guidelines. * Performs special medical screenings, including audiometry, spirometry, breath alcohol testing, urine drug testing and phlebotomy. * Supervises direct reports and assists with day-to-day staffing management. * Trains, supervises and mentors outpatient imaging personnel. Manages staff scheduling as needed. Continually monitors for and implements performance improvement opportunities. * Establishes sterile barriers and sets up specialty instruments, supplies and equipment as needed. Ensures proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, updating and documenting records as needed. Maintains appropriate supply inventory. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Responsibilities
