The Position The Lead Refractive Care Coordinator will serve as the primary contact for LASIK inquiries and consultations. Duties include educating patients, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and assisting with patient care. This position does require a background in ophthalmology and in medical/surgical sales. Conducts consultation appointments with prospective patients to provide education on services, procedures, and expectations. Schedules for LASIK consultations, LASIK surgery appointments, and post-LASIK refractions. Prepares pre-operative charts and maintains an inventory of marketing materials and informational packets. Tracks and follows up with patient inquiries. Performs any applicable diagnostic tests to assist the physician in determining whether the patient is a candidate for refractive surgery. Assists with pre-operative and post-operative care. Assists with surgeries performed in the laser room. Assists with light adjustable lens adjustments. Assists with IOL conversion conversations under the direction of the provider. Coordinates training and certification efforts for provider onboarding. Explains financing options and assists patients with financing applications. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Who You Are Performance/Skills Requirements: Demonstrated experience in medical sales. Skilled in maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage inventory and sales reports Thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Education/Certifications/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience. Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Preferred Additional Job Details: Works at our clinic location, Denver Eye Surgeons location at 13772 Denver West Pkwy Ste 100 Lakewood, CO 80401 and travels occasionally to our Boulder Eye Surgeons location but primarily supports this location remotely. This is a Full-Time Position. Compensation for this role will be $27 - $32 an hour based on experience.
