At Swn y Mor Care Centre, a 91-bed service providing nursing and residential care in Port Talbot, we are excited to introduce a new Lead Nurse role as part of our evolving management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine hands-on clinical practice with dedicated leadership time in a flexible and supportive environment.
Hours: Flexible – from 16 to 40 hours per week (depending on availability)

The Role - As Lead Nurse, you will:

  • Lead clinical shifts and oversee safe, effective care delivery
  • Take on 16 supernumerary hours per week to focus on staff mentoring, audits, compliance, and clinical development
  • Support nurses and senior carers with training, supervisions, and practice oversight
  • Lead on clinical governance, care planning, medication safety, and infection control
  • Play a key role in CIW inspection readiness and continuous service improvement
  • Liaise with families, professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team
