AUDIO VISUAL LEAD TECHNICIAN – RESIDENTIAL INTEGRATOR

We are currently looking for an experienced Audio Visual Lead Technician to join our client’s team in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of AV installation and integration experience and a strong background in residential smart home technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in AV installation and integration, preferably in residential environments.
  • Proficiency with Crestron Home and Lutron systems (troubleshooting and system loading).
  • Basic knowledge of networking equipment such as routers, switches, and wireless configuration is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Ability to lift 50–60 lbs., work on ladders, and in crawlspaces or overhead environments.
  • Comfortable reading and writing in English and performing basic math calculations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if required for field work).

Responsibilities
  • Execute installation and setup of audiovisual systems, including video panels, speakers, keypads, motorized shades, cameras, racking, access points, A/V cabling, and structured wiring.
  • Load and troubleshoot Crestron Home and Lutron control systems (no programming required).
  • Train and mentor junior service technicians on installation best practices and troubleshooting.
  • Provide hands-on user training to clients on how to operate installed systems.
  • Interpret and work from CAD drawings, building blueprints, and riser diagrams.
  • Conduct system testing and advanced troubleshooting to ensure proper operation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely project delivery.
