Description As a Lead Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of safe and effective respiratory services and products to patients at home including therapeutics, diagnostics, and respiratory equipment. This is a field-based, hands-on respiratory therapist/leadership position that requires a candidate with the drive and skill to be a clinical leader, patient advocate, and positive representative of PromptCare. Job Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, 40 hours per week with On-call responsibilities Requirements Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School and must have current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state inquiring of employment and in good standing Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states as determined by the Regional Director of Respiratory Operations, at the company’s expense Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing At least 2 years’ experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required Experience in the homecare/DME setting is highly desirable Must have the desire and skill to lead a team of Respiratory Therapists Previous experience leading RTs in the field is highly desirable CRTT certification is highly desirable Current CPR certification is required Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to: Keep patient, employee, and financial information confidential in accordance with company procedures and HIPAA regulations1. HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) ensures the privacy and security of health information. Review admission criteria and assess patient home care candidacy. Address safety and environmental concerns during patient admission. Oversee ongoing patient assessments, including status, equipment, maintenance, and psychosocial aspects. Train and educate new staff members, documenting their orientation. Collaborate with Warehouse Technicians on inventory, equipment needs, and preventative maintenance. Work closely with the Regional Director on branch operations. Ensure proper initiation, implementation, and evaluation of patient Plans of Service. Triage patient issues and new discharges. Lead in implementing clinical and organizational process changes. Assist with scheduling new hospital and outpatient set-ups and follow-up visits. Participate in on-call rotations.
