Job Purpose: Under minimal supervision, the Lead Sales Associate I is the principal selling agent for the company and is responsible to achieve the short and long-range sales objectives. Objectives will be achieved by maintaining existing customers in their assigned area. As a Lead Sales Associate, I will also assist the Managers in establishing future growth potential for new business and concentrate on expanding the gross profit for the team. The person is required to coordinate sales activities and promotions with other employees and administrators of the company as well as customers and clients of the company with respect to their needs, concerns, and schedules. Essential Job Functions: Travel to customers and potential customers’ facilities providing them with information and support as required to secure and maintain business. Establish, maintain, and develop business, social and civic relationships with customers in the assigned territory to maximum profitability. Assist in evaluating territory performance against established objectives/ guidelines (sale forecast, budget, number of new accounts, gross margin, etc.) and take appropriate action to improve performance Responsible for selling Wismettac products to all customers in the assigned territory. Grow business by anticipating customer needs, determining appropriate solutions to business problems, and providing an overall high level of customer service. Understand and execute the sales plan and price adjustments based on management’s instructions. Provide an accurate forecast of sales by customer and product on a timely basis. Communicate plans to merchandisers and effectively manage resources to support sales volume on the territory Recommend to the company/ department areas of future growth potential such as acquisitions, new market strategies, etc. Communicate plans to customers and effectively manage resources to support sales volume. Communicate new product and service opportunities, information, or feedback gathering through field activity to appropriate company staff. Cooperate with the accounting department to assure the collection of accounts receivable due. Develop significant familiarity with new accounts and contacts within assigned territories. Develop, maintain, and execute a plan for generating leads that result in new business. Assist in establishing sales objectives for the territory in cooperation with Managers. Assist in developing a territory coverage plan, which defines the type of support and frequency of customer contact required to meet territory goals. Cooperate with assigned Operation and Logistic staff to achieve territory sales goals. Provide timely reporting of activities in the field to assist in business and product planning. Submits sales activity reports and other reports as needed. Attend quarterly inventory count. Other duties as assigned. Experience/ Training/ Education: Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of related sales experience or at least 1 year of sales experience with Wismettac in the capacity of a Sales Associate or volume indicator that satisfies the position of Lead Sales Associate I with the qualitative skillsets to execute the tasks correctly; Require excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook); Excellent oral and written communication skills; Must have a valid US driver’s license (Canada driver’s license for Canada positions); Experience in selling Asian Food product; Experience using Oracle ERP system Knowledge/ Skills/ Ability: Knowledge in Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Knowledge to use of Oracle ERP software.
