Assist the Security Department leadership team with compliance with Tribal, State Compact and departmental procedures. Work with other management in handling alleged criminal activities, protecting company assets, and handling Team Member/guest incidents. Assist in training of Security Officers & Security Dispatchers, and in promoting the safety of guests and Team Members. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Required skills and knowledge: High school diploma or GED certificate. 1 year of guest or public service experience. 1 year in first responder, law enforcement, or security roles. Examples may include casinos or gaming security, large entertainment venues, resort or hotel security, corporate security, transit or airport security, hospital or campus security, or similar work. 1 year of experience working in a highly regulated environment. Examples may include casino or gaming, healthcare, aviation, financial services or banking, higher education, public safety agencies, utilities, military, or government or tribal government operations with formal compliance requirements. Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED student and instructor certifications Ability to obtain conflict resolution, defensive tactics, and handcuffing student and instructor certifications. Must have a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract that must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy. Basic math skills. Intermediate report writing skills with the ability to document complex incidents, organize information clearly, and apply proper grammar, spelling, and formatting. Intermediate computer skills, including daily use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for communication, reports, and data entry Pass NRWC pre-employment testing, including a typing test at 30 WPM with minimal errors and a basic math assessment Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Account for lost and found property in accordance with established department procedures. Assists with maintaining security reports, documents, and equipment. Assume primary security responsibility for designated shift in absence of Security Management/ Shift Manager/Supervisor. Communicate essential information to Dispatchers and Emergency Personnel while maintaining professional composure and using proper terminology and etiquette. Conducts investigations related to lost or missing keys or prox cards. Conducts Security Officer/Dispatcher needs analysis to determine training needs; designs and revises training curriculum and methods to improve effectiveness. Continuous observation for safety hazards and immediate reporting for correction. Cooperates with the regulatory agency in the investigation of criminal and civil violations and incidents. Coordinates or conducts various trainings, such as defensive tactics, handcuffing, CPR/AED & First Aid, legal, report writing, role orientation, drop team, and dispatch. Creates and maintains training documentation for Security Officer and Security Dispatcher programs. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of all emergency equipment. Follow established key control procedures without compromising the security of the casino. Greet and monitor the activity of all guests, both internal and external while providing superior guest service. Identify and report suspicious activity to include but not limited to threats of theft, violence, intoxication and/or drug related activity. Identify, assess, and assist sick or injured guests and Team Members prioritizing per triage guidelines, and provide basic first aid care. Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards. Knowledge of the location, operation, and maintenance of emergency equipment that including first aid kits, AED's fire extinguishers, wheelchairs, etc. Observe and report security incidents, then complete detailed incident and procedural violation reports. Oversee shift compliance with procedures for protecting company assets. Promote a safe, friendly environment for guests and Team Members. Provide escorts for all departments, Team Members and guests as indicated by internal controls and departmental procedures. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring training for newly hired Security Officers and Security Dispatchers, and ongoing training for existing team members in the Security Department. Verify identification of anyone less than 21 years of age and have the ability to recognize fraudulent documents. Working knowledge of casino rules, policies, activities and/or promotions in order to assist with guest inquiries.
