ABOUT THE ROLE – Lead Security Engineer

  • Up to £43,000 (Negotiable)
  • This is a lead-level role supporting the service, maintenance, and installation of electronic security systems, while assisting with day-to-day coordination of a small group of engineers.
  • You will support the delivery of works across a portfolio of sites including Rail, Healthcare, Higher Education, and Utilities.
  • The covering area is London and the South East of England.
  • You will act as a site-level lead—providing first-line technical guidance to junior engineers, coordinating tasks, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Primary systems include CCTV and Access Control. Experience with Intruder Alarms and Intercoms is advantageous but not essential and can be taught internally.
  • Hands-on responsibility for Servicing, fault-finding, repairs, upgrades, and installations – delivering work in line with NSI Gold standards
  • You will assist with fault finding, basic commissioning, and general system upkeep under guidance from Senior Engineers or Project Managers.
  • Occasional liaison with clients and office staff regarding job updates and basic reporting.
  • Structured training and support provided to progress within the team.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE – Lead Security Engineer

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience within the electronic security industry
  • Must be willing to travel throughout London and the South EastStrong working knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems
  • Prior experience supporting or guiding junior engineers on-site is advantageous
  • Preferred system exposure: CCURE, Lenel, Paxton, Axis, Avigilon, Hik-Vision etc. Training provided on systems of less confidence.
  • ECS Card preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Positive, reliable, and willing to take initiative when supervising field works
  • Must be a clear communicator with a team-first mindset
  • Full UK Driving Licence and clean DBS check required
  • Must be happy to participate in the callout rota

  • Base Salary Up to £43,000 (Negotiable)
  • Call-Out Rota – 1 in 7 (£250/week standby fee + Time & Half on call-outs)
