Description

To lead a new Legal & Risk service undertaking complex employee relations investigations, cultural reviews and assessments, report writing, team interventions and facilitating bespoke training working autonomously guided by organisational policies.

  • To oversee and undertake investigations for all matters relating to clinical and non-clinical employees such as disciplinary, grievance, bullying and harassment and any other matters which may involve an investigation.
  • To analyse information often of a highly confidential and sometimes distressing nature and be expected to attend Disciplinary and/or Appeal Hearings to present cases to a panel with the support from a Workforce Advisor.
  • Ensure that all aspects of employee relations issues are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • To create and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and identify areas for collaboration.
  • To provide subject matter expertise as and when required.
  • To advise and sit on relevant working groups, providing advice to Workforce Directors and NHS Employers in relation to All Wales issues and policies.
  • To work with the wider team to draw upon available evidence to advise on preventative action that NHS Trusts and Local Health Boards can implement in relation the recent introduction of the Worker Protection Act.
  • To deliver Board and wider team development sessions in relation to risk management of cultural issues.
