The Consulting Practice within the Government Technology Office of GovTech tackles complex IT challenges and drives system modernisation across government agencies. We combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to assess enterprise environments, align stakeholders, and architect scalable solutions delivered through GovTech and industry partnerships.
As a Lead Engineer / Senior Engineer in this practice, you’ll shape technical direction, drive architectural excellence, and influence how technology enables public sector transformation.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead enterprise-wide technical strategy and architecture decisions that impact multiple agencies and national-level systems
• Provide expert consultation on complex technology transformations, from vision and strategy through to implementation
• Drive innovation in solution architecture whilst ensuring alignment with government standards and security requirements
• Shape technical direction for major programmes and guide cross-functional teams towards optimal solutions
• Establish architectural governance frameworks and technical standards that enable scalable, future-proof implementations
