Overview:
The Lead Server is responsible for maintaining effective food and beverage operation during assigned shift and providing excellent customer service and staff support. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

  • Knowledge of and ability to mix a wide variety of drinks.
  • Operate in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
  • Communicate effectively at all times, with customers as well as all levels of employees.
  • Observe and direct actions of beverage staff to inspect and maintain areas for which responsible.
  • Pour drinks to proper specifications.
  • Review and comprehend drink recipes and other necessary documentation.
  • Use all equipment associating with the position including Aloha computer system, keyboard and bar equipment.
  • Lift and move cases of alcohol and kegs of beer, with or without assistance, weighing up to 200 pounds.
  • Communicate effectively with customers as well as all levels of employees.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate.
  • Minimum age requirement is 21.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
At least five (5) years in the food and beverage industry. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic math skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and direct actions of designated staff to ensure appropriate duties and procedures are performed.
  • Maintain company funds and equipment in an orderly manner.
  • Interact with guests in a manner which makes them feel comfortable and welcome.
  • Ensure a safe and effective operation exists; monitors all work areas for potential safety hazards and initiates corrective actions; follows and enforces established cleaning schedules, storage procedures, etc.
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints in order to maintain positive customer relations and to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate any problems or situations detrimental to property to Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Responsible for the security and accuracy of assigned bank and is accountable for any and all overages and shortages.
