Assist the Dining Room Manager with administration responsibilities, and shift monitoring. This position requires flexibility of work schedule which may include but not limited to days, weekends and evenings depending on the needs of our community. Essential Job Duties: Monitoring Dining room: The Lead Server will closely monitor all activities in the dining room. This includes ensuring food quality, manage table settings, and handling member concerns. Knowledgeable on health and safety standards: The Lead Server will be knowledgeable of health and safety standards in the hospitality industry. They communicate the Virginias Health Department safety and hygiene protocols regularly with servers to help maintain a hygienic environment. Lead Servers ensure servers adhere to health requirements and supervise the dining room to prevent injuries. This may involve placing signs to prevent people from slipping on a wet floor. Training new employees: The Lead Server will train new employees to familiarize them with the work requirements of Jubilation. They show new servers the accepted behavior, timing and work ethics to follow during their shift. The lead Server goes over with the team the Hospitality Promises and shows examples. Leading the shift: The Lead server will lead the shift and has the responsibility of assigning sections and side work as well as checking out side work at the end of shift. QUALIFICATIONS: Serving skills, team leading, good initiative Creative, diligent execution, able to think ahead, intuitive PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS: Normally works in well-lit, comfortable surroundings. Must be able to concentrate with frequent interruptions. Must be able to walk for up to 75% of the workday.
